Amy and Quentin couldn't have anticipated the challenges and joys they'd encounter on their journey to build a family through adoption. In December of 2015, they traveled to Nevada to adopt a beautiful set of twin boys. The family's excitement was dashed just 3 days later when the adoption was disrupted. They returned home without the children they had hoped to raise. Amy and Quentin were matched with another expecting mother the following spring. After weeks of talking with the expectant parents all communication abruptly stopped. Much to their disappointment, they experienced another failed adoption. Amy always had it in her heart to adopt. When she met Quentin, who suffers from an a genetic autoimmune disorder, they felt confident adoption was the best choice for building their family. This fall they were connected with a new expectant mother by mutual friends,. Amy and Quentin met her for the first time on Mother's Day. She was facing health complications that made her pregnancy high risk. Miraculously the expectant mother was able to carry to 37 weeks. In October, after months of loss and disappointment, they finally brought home their daughters! Amy and Quentin are excited to add twin girls Ava and Jada to their family. Thank you to Amy and Quentin for sharing your story. I hope it will inspire other families considering adoption.

This was such a special session, I love seeing the bond between a Mother and her child while she is giving her baby exactly what she needs to develop and grow. Leighton and her Mommy have been sharing this bond for 6 months.
