There’s something so special about capturing the bond between siblings, especially when one of them is experiencing becoming a big brother for the first time.
Reid’s nursery is decorated with a western theme, making it all the more fun to incorporate those details into his session. I love pulling inspiration from my littlest models’ nurseries, ensuring that their portraits will fit perfectly into their space. Now, this family has the perfect decor featuring their newest addition—a little cowboy in the making!
One of my favorite details from Reid’s session was the deep teal we incorporated. It added such a rich, feel to his images. This shade has officially been added to my list of favorites—I can’t wait to use it in more sessions!

Not long ago, we were capturing this sweet mama’s maternity session. Now, I’m so excited to share that he’s here! Nehemiah Shalom made his grand entrance weighing 8 lbs 6 oz and measuring 20 inches long.
His name carries such a powerful and beautiful meaning—“God’s Comfort and Peace.”Nehemiah is a double rainbow baby, a wonderful blessing after loss. His mama experienced two miscarriages between her youngest daughter and him.. He is a symbol of hope, healing, and the strength of his family.
For his newborn session, we made sure to incorporate things that reflect his family’s story. Since we had the deer sighting during the maternity session, we knew we had to include deer antlers in his shoot! We also included a baby's first golf set (a nod to dad’s favorite sport), sweet sibling poses with his proud big sisters, and of course, simple, timeless neutral shots of just baby.
It has been such an honor to document this family’s journey. Seeing them welcome their first little boy has been so special, and I can’t wait to watch Nehemiah grow!
Kylie came to visit me in the studio, and I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect little model! At just 6lbs 12oz, she was so tiny and reminded me so much of my youngest, who was the same size.
One of the highlights of this session was incorporating a special touch—a bow that I made myself! Bows are all the rage right now, and I’ve been excited to add some handmade pieces to my collection of props. I am so glad I got to bring my vision to life with this perfect model.
I always strive to make each session unique and personal, whether it’s through custom props, colors, or themes that reflect my clients’ preferences. Kylie’s session was no exception.
Kylie’s mom shared with me that she had been turned away by other photographers because they said Kylie was “too old” for a newborn session. That breaks my heart because I believe every baby deserves to have these precious moments captured, no matter their age. I never put an age limit on my newborn sessions—older babies can do just as well, and sometimes even better, than those in the 2 week range. Kylie was proof of that as she rocked her session like a pro!
Newborn sessions like these remind me why I love what I do—capturing these fleeting moments for families to cherish forever. Thank you, Kylie’s family, for trusting me with your precious little one! Kicking off the new year with my first newborn session of 2025, and what a perfect way to start! Sweet Hudson was an absolute dream, sleeping peacefully through his entire session. He didn’t make a sound as we carefully transitioned him from pose to pose and incorporated a variety of props. Hudson’s mom and dad couldn’t have been prouder of their little (or should I say, big) guy! Born at 8 lbs 10 oz at just 37 weeks, Hudson was already tipping the scales closer to 9 lbs by the time of his session. He’s a strong and healthy baby, and you can see the joy and love radiating from his parents. One of my favorite things about newborn sessions is when families bring in personal items to make the experience unique and meaningful. Hudson’s dad brought along a set of antlers, a special piece that added a rustic touch to the photos. We even included his dad’s hat, which Hudson will no doubt grow into sooner than anyone can imagine. Thank you to Hudson’s family for trusting me to document this milestone! I can’t wait to see this little guy grow.
Savanna is a women with a heart overflowing with love and compassion. she has been a surrogate not once, not twice, but THREE times. Surrogacy is a remarkable journey where selflessness meets love. In Savanna's case, it meant helping Carlos and Daniel, from Mexico, complete their family by bringing two of their three amazing boys into the world. Savanna's incredible journey doesn't end there. She's also a loving mother to three incredible girls of her own. Her selflessness and kindness have created bonds that transcend boarders, emphasizing the power of friendship across boarders. Let's celebrate Savanna's amazing journey, highlighting the beauty of surrogacy, where love knows no boundaries, and the power of friendship, love, and family.
Please keep Cameron, son of my friend and fellow photographer, Megan Blasdel in your prayers.
Baby Cameron has been diagnosed with Coarctation of the Aoerta and is expecting to have surgery soon. When he was born, Cameron’s doctor detected a heart murmur. A later visit revealed a narrowing of the main artery leading from his heart; also know as Coarctation of the Aoerta. Following this devastating diagnosis Cameron’s family was told to prepare for surgery on November 23rd. During a routine check up this afternoon Cameron was found to be experiencing difficulty breathing. He has been transported to Memorial Hermann hospital for observation while he awaits surgery. Please uplift the Blasdel family in your thoughts and prayers during these next critical days as they prepare for surgery. This little guy put up a tough fight, but in the end I would say we won, just look at these adorable images!
This little lady did absolutely amazing during her session. Most photographers do not photograph newborns that are over 14 days, but I am so glad that I wasn't worried about her "age" because her pictures turned out adorable!
This little lady did absolutely amazing at her session! I love photographing little girls, so many options!
